Is it time to give up Windows XP? After the tarnished reputation
of Vista, many businesses have been reluctant to deploy the new computer Operating System
throughout their network.
Widows 7 mostly succeeds in smoothing out the problems of Vista. Many reviewers have
said that Windows 7 is the OS that Vista should have been. The computer
hardware requirements specified by Microsoft are the same as Vista, the first time
a new OS hasn’t required a beefier computer. It even seems to run faster
on marginal hardware than its predecessor. It includes Microsoft’s most
complete set of built-in device drivers yet.
We generally don’t recommend upgrading the OS
on existing computers (with Vista it was often impossible). We do recommend
starting to make the migration to Windows 7 when buying new computers.
